| Breaking news: | February 12, at a public meeting in Honokaa, it was announced that the plan to build a 18' gravel road to be built over the old Mud Lane Trail has been replaced by a smaller 12' gravel road and a separate trail. See History for more info. |

For those interested in preserving Mud Lane from development, there is a separate site for advocacy, SaveMudLane, which makes it easy to write, call or fax your elected representatives. This site (mudlane.org) is just informal notes which hopefully provide an information source for the public.
There are two email groups you can join:

messages, just news).
